- Yeah Tom was pushing us that week and sent us out to bend fire. He said something about not bending fire untill Philo. 3 or something. It was cook though.
We changed the color of the fire and made it swirl and stoked it up and even snuffed it out as well as bent it. The power of the mind, it's awesome!

- I think Alaska would be quite an adventure! What a beautiful place (not that I"ve been there, but) I've wanted to go for some time. A family friend who works as a midwife lives in Anchorage. Good luck saving up your money.

- Oooh, massage! Yes, it's quite something, I've been amazed at some of the things my Mom has fixed on me, especially when I've been in sports or working out hard. It's been really interesting to see in her work with others as well, how many pain problems result from tension and stress and such. It really is an amazing tool. How exciting! How long have you been studying it now?
What's new with me? Well... in a couple weeks some friends of mine from our Standard are getting married. I'm gonna be gathering some cedar and sage to use as smudge in their wedding. My birthday's coming up after that, and then I'm taking a trip to Colorado to visit another friend from our Standard. In September it's back to school with me. Skills wise, I finally brained my squirrel hide, and all that's left now is to smoke it.
It's good talking to ya Jimmy. Hey, the pots and bowls you're using, are you coal-burning?

Plants
Today I bought a Yucca bush/tree. I have found several plants in my area that are good for cordage but I've never seen, let alonel, used a Yucca tree.
This will be interesting!

Tracker Box
Hats off to myself. I found a great place and enough time and materials to follow through with building a tracker box. 4X8 and 10" deep!!! Just like Tom said.! I have to find a way to keep weeds out.
I wonder if it is ethical to take the sand from the beach rather than buying sand.
I recall working at the rock yard back in the day, it just never made sense to me that people buy things that are actually free. Sand, dirt, rocks.... hmm I shall dwell on this for a while.
